5 April 2023, Serdang - The Centre for Quality Assurance held an Awareness Briefing and Expanding the Scope of New Graduate Student Registration, the Information Security Management System (ISMS) online to all Responsibility Center officials involved in expanding the scope of ISMS including the School of Graduate Studies, the University Health Center , International Center, Information and Communication Development Center, Bursar's Office and UPM Bintulu Campus. This briefing was delivered by the Deputy Management Representative of the Information Security Management System, Ts. Shahril Iskandar Amir and assisted by the Deputy Management Representative of the School of Graduate Studies who is also the Head of the UPM Graduate New Student Registration Team, Mrs. Norhasliza Hassan. A total of 69 participants attended this briefing session which aims to provide initial exposure to all PTJ officials involved in the background of ISMS implementation, the history of ISMS implementation at UPM, the findings of previous ISMS certification audits and the implementation of ISMS in the context of new graduate student registration. Participants were also made aware of the importance of maintaining information security in the implementation of work operations based on CIA elements (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) which is likened to the heart of ISMS implementation. This briefing is a preparation for the 2023 ISMS scope expansion activity for the registration process of new graduate students who are expected to go through the SIRIM QAS 1 Review Monitoring Audit in mid-October 2023.
