CQA Organized Course on MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Understanding & Implementing

20th February 2024, Serdang  - Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), has organized Series 1 Course entitled MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017  Understanding & Implementing which was held at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) by inviting Mrs. Anijah Binti Pangat, the Principal Consultant from SIRIM STS Sdn. Bhd. as a speaker. The course, which has been conducted for two days from 20 and 21st February 2024, targeted participants from PTJ who have an accredited laboratory that conducts testing, sampling or calibration. The course was attended by a total of 31 participants, which are 18 staff from the Faculty of Engineering (FK), 5 staff from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FPV) and 8 staff from the Faculty of Science (FS). The objective of the course is to give exposure to Quality Managers (QM), Laboratory Managers, Document Control Officers (DCO), Technical Managers, Competent Personnel and Approved Signatories in terms of assessment and compliance standards of MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017, understand the importance of accredited laboratories and provide exposure on how to use ISO/IEC 17025 requirements for laboratory operations. Through this course, it is hoped that accredited laboratories understand the requirements of MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and further ensure commitment towards the implementation of a quality management system and continuous improvement in accordance with the requirements of the standard. At the end of this course, participants successfully understand the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and how laboratories can implement them.
