16 May 2023, Serdang - The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) has organised a Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem Benchmarking Visit (EKSA) to external agencies as one of the training activities for the implementation of UPM's EKSA practise. The National Youth Higher Skills Institute (IKTBN), Sepang, has been selected as a benchmark location this time based on its excellent performance in the EKSA MAMPU certification. The objective of this visit is to see the overall implementation of EKSA practises at IKTBN in addition to giving exposure and new ideas to UPM staff to put into practise in the future. This visit involved a total of 35 participants from UPM, including EKSA University Facilitators, PTJ Representatives, and CQA Staff. The tour session started with the EKSA Implementation Briefing Session at IKTBN, Sepang, and then participants were taken to visit the EKSA implementation space at IKTBN, Sepang. Among the spaces and locations seen during the visit at IKTBN are office spaces, laboratories and workshops, student accommodation rooms, and other shared spaces such as stationery stores and student project galleries. Based on observations during the visit, the spaces that can be used as a reference for the best practises in the implementation of EKSA are laboratory and workshop spaces, which mostly involve students in the implementation of EKSA in those spaces. It is hope that the benchmarking and good practices obtained during this visit will be used as a reference to improve the implementation of EKSA in all departments and units at UPM.
