27th October 2023, Serdang-  Center for Quality Assurance (CQA) as the leader of UPM's quality environmental practices has held a Briefing on the Implementation of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem Self-Assessment (EKSA) Year 2023/2024. The purpose of this briefing was to provide clarification to the Assessors and Coordinators of EKSA, who are responsible for their respective centres, before the EKSA Self-Assessment sessions take place at all UPM responsibility centres from 1st November 2023 to  31 January 2024. The objectives of this briefing were: To enhance understanding regarding the self-assessment methods of EKSA among the Assessors in responsibility centres; To facilitate assessors in conducting assessments based on established criteria and ethics; and To ensure that assessments are conducted following the standards and guidelines developed at UPM.   A total of 209 participants attended the online briefing session conducted via the Google Meet application. The briefing was delivered by three (3) UPM officers: Mrs. Shamriza Shari, who served as the EKSA Coordinator for UPM from the Centre for Quality Assurance; Mrs. Zaidina Mohd Daud, the Head of EKSA Facilitators for UPM from the Faculty of Science; and Mrs. Marziati Md Din, the Deputy EKSA Facilitator for UPM from the Internal Audit Division. Some of the topics covered during this briefing included: The Implementation Plan for UPM's EKSA Assessment; Goals, Objectives, and Methods of EKSA Assessment; The Role of EKSA Assessors; and Components of EKSA Assessment.   This briefing is expected to help the smooth process of EKSA's evaluation and self-scoring for the purpose of the 2023/2024 Workplace Environment Quality Award, which is one of the awards that will be contested during the UPM Service Quality and Innovation Day Celebration 2024.
