22 December 2022, Serdang -  Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) via Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) has been chosen as the host for the Quality Management Council-Public University Meeting (MPQ-UA) No.3/2022 which was held at the Senate Hall, Putra Chancellery Building, UPM. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) was invited to attend the 'Meet and Greet' session before the start of the meeting.

The meeting was attended by service and academic quality management heads from 20 public universities (UA) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) official. While UPM was represented by Prof. Dr. Amin Ismail, Director of the Quality Assurance Center (CQA) and Prof. Associate Dr. Wan Marzuki Wan Jaafar, Director of the Academic Development Centre (CADe). This MPQ-UA meeting acts as a platform for UA representatives to share experiences and best practices and discuss issues related to public universities quality management and improvement. The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Academic Excellence Division, Department of Higher Education (JPT), Ministry of Higher Education are also directly involved in MPQ meetings in providing views, advice and being a reference for public universities.
